Glad you liked it Jamie. That WOULD be interesting to see what an old fashioned bottle of soda would have cost in relation to a silver dime. Ingredients were proper sugar back then and not this crazy glucose-fructose / high-fructose corn syrup. A quick google image search showed me a Pepsi bottle advertised for 5 cents, which would make a comic worth TWO cans of soda by my calculations (which would be about right by today’s prices as well)… it’s an interesting mental exercise.

That was a great interview, Mike. I like your way of calculating the price of a comic. My buddy Bosco has a different method. He maintains that a comics should always cost what a can of SODA costs, in order for it to be affordable on a kid’s allowance. I guess they used to cost about the same back in “the old days”

Whoa, missed this post.

I have all them books, having bought them over the years, but man, I’m a little jealous! To get the whole &$%!@# collection in one box o’ Ditko…awesome.

The 32 Page Package TSK TSK has a great piece on the co-creation of Spider-Man. Ditko even drew a Spider-Man! First time in decades.

Miss Eerie, found in his newest comics, is a great character. Like a female Dirty Harry, only tougher!

Congrats, Mike, on supporting one of The Greats. Enjoy them books!

If it was my mistake, I’d let it go… but I caught the error during the proof stage. Lebonfon asked if I wanted to have stickers put over all of them, but I absolutely hate it whenever I see those cheesey correction stickers. We’ll see what happens… the rest of the book looks great though!
