Still Hard at Work

Yet another convention picture taken by a secret spy cam! This one comes from Danny Truong who was much quicker in posting his convention sketch than I ever will be…

But he’s not the only happy Ultraist / Possum customer smearing his con sketch all over the internet. Chris Miller (who also left a comment a few posts back) has Beta-Ray Bill vs. Spy Guy floating through cyber-space as well.

  1. Nice to see them sketches! Beta Ray Bill…whatta clown.

Cool that you sold 4 CRIC2. How were sales on your other titles?

  2. Jay, did those comics ever reach Switzerland?
If not, I’m tempted to send you another batch…

As for the convention sales… my brother Blair keeps a notebook where he logs all of his Possum sales at these conventions. I started one at our first con last year, but I abandoned the idea pretty quickly because it stressed me out. I’d start obsessing over it. I’m like that. So instead, I just go by the amount of cash I have left over in my pocket. If I cover the convention cost, then I’m good. The only convention we ever lost money on was the APE, and that was due to airfare (airmiles plus tax) and our hostel stay.

If I were to guess, I’d say I sold 30 – 40 comics in total over the weekend (including our value pack sales).

  3. Got it yesterday (I emailed you this morning, as I said I would)! Looking forward to getting to it. Most inpressive on first glance. Reviews (well, poor-man reviews) will follow.
    And thanks!

As for logging sales, yeah…the ol’ love/hate relationship with numbers heavily applies, I’d guess.

Good to hear you’re almost always in the green though.
