SPY GUY - Webcomic pt.12
I don’t know how these are reading to the people checking in on a daily basis. My hunch is that they don’t read all that well as individual strips, however since the intent was to force my hand at drawing faster, and to let the story develop as a stream-of-consciousness experiment, I consider it a success (so far). Bah… enough banter… enjoy the comic.

Overall, the black and white tone reads well, as well as the pacing. Nice textures.
Too many ’straight-on’ shots.
Neat! I like the coked up boss guy! I also like the way you handle the grey tones.
Keep going!
When are we going to see some midgets. Does this guy have some midgets behind his desk? I think your strip needs more midgets. That’s my only complaint. Other than the lack of midgets, it looks great!
Matt: The ’straight-on’ shots… I was beating myself up over those last week. And then I’d keep drawing them. I did an exercise in SPY GUY: Minis (the CAFFEINE strip) where I decided to see how many interesting angles I could cram in to avoid going all Garfield. Next webcomic strip, I will go camera crazy. Except for the first panel, ’cause it’s already drawn…
John: Thanks for the encouragement. The coked up boss guy is going to be a fun character. I have no idea where his character is going in the story… which makes it even more fun.
Blair: Be careful what you wish for…
All Spy Guy needs to do is hide his Cocaine.
He’ll nod off like a kitten over-do for his nap.
Hahaha! You know, now that this is in my head, the idea has to happen in the story…
